850 - NES Powerline Troubleshooting

Powerline communication (PLC) equipment uses existing electrical power transmission lines for the transfer of data. Doing this involves transferring information over a medium that is originally not designed for data transmission; this implies that there are a number of unique problems involved in this process. While Echelon’s field-proven PLC technology (which forms the base of the NES System’s communication between Smart Meters and Data concentrators) is able to cope with most of these, there are still some cases in which communication problems arise. The NES Powerline Troubleshooting training provides you with the knowledge to detect, diagnose and ultimately solve problematic PLC situations. The lectures give a thorough overview on general PLC concepts and NES specific details, and the hands-on labs and diagnostics exercises will provide you with the necessary basic experience to perform your own NES PLC diagnosis and troubleshooting.
