LNS DDE Server Release 2.1 ReadMe Update October 05, 2017 This update to the LNS DDE Server ReadMe documentation provides information on how to install LNS DDE Server 2.1 on Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, and Windows 8.1. Echelon supports use of the LNS DDE Server on these versions of Windows as long as it is installed in accordance with these instructions. These instructions describe how the LNS and licensing libraries included with LNS DDE Server can be updated to newer versions that are compatible with Windows 10, and Windows 8.1. This requires installation of both LNS Server 3.27 to update the licensing library, followed by installation of IzoT Net Server 4.02 to update the network management library. To install the LNS DDE Server on Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, or Windows 7, follow these steps: 1. Download the LNS DDE Server installation package from the following location: http://downloads.echelon.com/support/downloads/software/integration/LNS_DDE_Server/znfp/LNS_DDE_Server_Setup_2017.zip 2. Extract the files in the zip archive. 3. Open the directory where you extracted the files in File Explorer. 4. Run SetLonWorksPath64.reg to set a compatible location for the LonWorks path. This file is for 64-bit versions of Windows only. Contact Echelon for an update if you are using a 32-bit version of Windows. 5. Run LNS_ServerSetup_3.27.exe to install a licensing library that is compatible with Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, and Windows 8.1 as well as the LNS DDE Server. 6.
