Getting More Information

If you are reading this manual from a local copy, you can find the most current version of the IzoT documentation online at www.echelon.com/docs/izot.

Python-based reference documentation for the IzoT SDK stacks is embedded in the Python packages. To access this documentation, open a Linux shell and, at the prompt, enter pydoc3 izot.  This will give you a list of IzoT top-level packages.  Still in the Linux shell, enter the name of  any of the listed packages shown, preceded by izot. (e.g. pydoc3 izot.device), and you will receive a document supporting that package. Alternatively, click the IzoT SDK Python Docs button, or browse to /pydocs/, on the home page of any IzoT device.

Reference documentation for the IzoT SDK Device Stack EX is also available. To access this documentation, click the IzoT Device Stack EX Docs button, or browse to /docs/DeviceStack, on the home page of any IzoT device.

Reference documentation for the IzoT REST API provided by the IzoT Server is available by clicking the Browsable IzoT REST API button on the home page of a device running the IzoT Server.
